Famous Lippards
Most U.S. Lippards are descendants of Conrad Martin Lippard and Anna
Maria Martin who immigrated from Palatinate Germany to Philadelphia
by way of Rotterdam on the SS Queen Elizabeth in 1738, landing at
Philadelphia on September 16. Conrad Martin's son William and
grandson John migrated to North Carolina, where most descendants can
still be found, but clusters migrated back to Pennsylvania, to
Indiana, to Illinois, to Texas, and elsewhere. I've not found a connection
between these German Lippards and the English Lippards (if there's a
link, it predates 1547) or with the Russians Abraham Lippard (1870-1957) or Isadore Lippard, father of Simon Lippard (1866-1933).

so I could comfort people affected by the tragedy,' said the young artist. From that day
forward, Joy knew music was her tool for evangelism."
